People gather to express their dissatisfaction, and anger over political, and societal issues. Not being heard or recognized makes people feel that public protests are the only option to make their concerns known.
Protests have also been part of our human discontent for many centuries globally.
Parades, marches, funerals, political events, bring people together into the streets for a common goal.
Public displays of celebration and protests have been part of our humanity for centuries.

In these extremely turbulent times, I feel the need to channel people’s concerns and emotions pervading our country with my photographs.
His personal work consists of images captured for the light, shadow and texture. Recent work includes landscapes and environmental photographs of the southwest states. Alan also enjoys photographing people in the studio and on location, and musicians performing.
Alan Haywood is a commercial and fine art photographer residing in Ossining, NY. A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Alan taught photography for over twenty years in schools and art centers in the NY metro area.
